43.71 easing up....uh HUHHHH
Was it better than this one?
yes
he only "maintained" in the stretch & eased off at the end ( it was "only" a semi )
he was hardly out of breathe after...
You don't know what "better" means? Who cares if it was a semi? Do you think if Bekele ran 26:50 in a qualifying round that it would be better than a 26:17 in a final, assuming neither were rabbitted since the 400s aren't rabbitted?

You really are clueless.
You're not much of a track and field fan if you only appreciate WR races.
In a way, all 400 races are rabbited. The runners in the inside lanes always have someone to chase after.
He, Steve Lewis and Kevin Young all had something in common. They were very good for a while and then BANG suddenly became super-human.
Def not as good as this one.

Johnson could have went at LEAST 43.5 if he went all out.

THERE ARE NO RABBITS IN 400 RACES. I NEVER SAID I ONLY APPRECIATE WR RACES. YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
You forgot Danny Everett and Henry Thomas. Along with Steve Lewis and Kevin Young these four were the first NCAA team to run under 3 minutes for the 4x400.
Everett, Lewis and Thomas were some of the best HS 400 runners ever.
Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDycCUeZ0BA&feature=related. 42.9 seconds - the fastest a human being has ever run around a 400 meter track. When Johnson took the baton he might as well have been the only person on the track.
Steve Lewis won the olympic e 400m as a 19 year old. And yes he was very good as HS ( sub 46).

The Juice was loose
You don't understand what "in a way" means, do you? Yelling only proves you 're a troll.
Again, there are no rabbits in 400 meter races. I understand how the 400 is run. If you want to say "in a way" there are rabbits in 400 meter races, that is fine, but..it has no impact on my point in relation to this thread...you're one of those types who likes to worry about your hangnail while you're undergoing cardiac arrest.
Is that impressive too?

i certainly do - you obviously are clueless
Who cares if it was a semi?
he woud
you are a moron
he had the final in 2/7 & aim was to qualify for it with least expenditure of energy - evident from the vid - he blasted the back-stretch & cruised in the rest of the way, especially the stretch-drive
as it was, the semi still took helluva lot out of him, when he coud "only" go 43.50 in the final, when experienced viewers ( myself included ) were expecting 43.0/43.1 from him
Do you think if Bekele ran 26:50 in a qualifying round that it would be better than a 26:17 in a final, assuming neither were rabbitted since the 400s aren't rabbitted?
seeing as running 26'17 unwabbited is currently impossible for any human, your question is nonsensical
In other words, you've lost the argument, so you dodge the penetrating questions. The Bekele question was a hypothetical, and hypothetical questions are not necessarily nonsensical, but to an obtuse moron they perhaps are. Answer my question or admit you've lost the argument.
Look, I know you're stupid, but you could at least admit that to call this semifinal the greatest 400 ever is simply an opinion, and an opinion offered by a moron. Morons can be right sometimes, but who am I going to believe, myself or a moron?
