You two understand that Central and Ohio State have no front runners. When Indiana puts the Jeffersons in the top five in a big(270 person) race with 9 or 10 solid teams that is a huge help to them. They only have to score 3when central and everyone else scores 5
Flynn and Perlberg from CMU had faster times then the Jefferson's and Willis and Brennan at prenats.
The jeffersons will not be in the top 5. I understand the point you were trying to make though. 2 in the top 10 - 15 is big in a meet like regionals. I see osu and cmu having their packs in the 20 - 40 range. Should be a great race.
UW--Fast 6 runners
EMU--3 scorers
CMU--Solid packs overpower frontrunner teams
OSU--See above
UM--Brannen and Willis are tough.
Indiana--Jeff's...what is up with Haas
Butler--Solid all year
MSU--What happening in East Lansing. Can they pull it off?
ND--They better not switch to the green jerseys for Districts.
The GL =
Big 10
- crap of Big 10

Butler may surprise some people! They have what it takes to be 4th or 5th in the GL

No way will Miami make it or place any better than 10th.
UW - duh
EMU - duh
CMU - great pack
UM - Brannen and Willis won't be as hot on a 10k, but Stanko and others will improve with the extra 2k.
ND - gut says Mobley will be back in top form. Two low sticks get them the 5 spot.
IU - not to hot at Big 10's, but Jeffri get them to the dance
OSU - good pack, but in a better race than Big 10's, too many guys finish infront of Glaz, Fisher, et al.
Butler - hot early, not of late
MSU - will only go as far as Toloff can take them, and you need 5. Marsh would have to bull something out of his ass.
Miami - Padgett hasn't improved in 4 years or so. He should have stayed a Spartan.
That said, a record 8 teams qualify! GL has sick depth.
Notre Dame??? Two low sticks and then What?? The other teams behind them will have two low sticks as well. Butler and IU could have 3 pretty low sticks.
central won't beat IU or Michigan at the great lakes. The race that Indiana was in at pre-nats went out way harder up front then centrals race did. The Jefferson will be top five at districts and the iu pack will be around 30-40 putting them in the top three. Michigan will have to top 10 placers with their pack coming in similar to IU. Look for IU and Michigan to be 3-4, Central 5 Butler 6,OSU 7 and MSU 8...Norte Dame won't be going, unless they take nine teams from the best region in the country.
The jeffersons were barely top 5 at big tens.
It is going to be very hard to be top 5 at GL.
The Jeffersons will not be top 5, at least not both of them.
1. Boaz
2. Tegenkampo
3. Gavin T.
4. Festa
5 - 15 (not in any particular order):
Flynn, Perlberg, Jefferson 1, Jefferson 2, Brannen, Wallace, Slick, Willis, Lockhart, Toloff?, Mobley...I don't know many of the Butler runners, but they will also mix it up. So being top 5 in the GL this year is going to tough.
Outside of Boaz, I see any of the people above having a good chance at being 2-15. I am sure I missed some runners, so don't get all upset......just post your own picks.
-Clay
Tucker from BU will be top 5!
