Has there been any announcement as to where the US Marathon Champs will be next year, if there are any at all?

I asked this about a month ago, but got no response. Anybody?
Still open for bidding.
Bumping, since the USATF meeting is this weekend. Keep us posted.
It seems they have most of the other championships on their 2011 calendar. Any word on a marathon yet?
No gottee
bump
I had heard, from less than reliable sources, that there wouldn't be a 2011 marathon champs because of the trials being in january 2012. It's too late to name a spring championships and no one will want to run a fall one, so i heard they were going to take a pass this year. Anyone know the real story?

Why don't they do it in the summer? Grandmas and some other respectable marathons are then, this way they could get everyone but the top 3 us marathoners.
I suspect they do not want a US championships in the fall within the qualifying window in order to keep a lid on the field at the trials. If the championships are in the fall, all of the guys who have their ticket punched will skip, leaving a slower group for the championships and potentially a pile of 2:19+ guys finishing top 10.

When the standard was lowered the US Champs was cited as a chance for the 2:19-2:22 guys to compete. I shouldn't be surprised that USATF isn't interested in developing the sub-elite group since they've said it once by locking them out of the Trials.
