Women's & Men's entries here:
http://www.runnerspace.com/news.php?do=view&news_id=12991This is the weakest US Championship field that I have ever seen. The 25k is traditionally the weakes on the circuit, but this race is ridiculously weak. Any male that run over 14:15 has no business receiving a payday. Same goes with a woman running over 16:30. Watch what happens here.
You're a fool
Looking forward to the results to see if there are any 14:15 or 16:30 paydays? This was a horrible group of athletes as far as depth goes.
any updates?
Looks like the guy's prediction of a 14:15/16:30 payday was accurate:
1. Robert Cheseret 14:00
2. Ben Bruce 14:01
3. Aaron Braun 14:04
4. Andy Biladeau 14:06
5. Kyle Alcorn 14:09
Women:
1. Molly Huddle 15:47
2. Sara Hall 15:58
3. Renee Baillie 16:14
4. Meghan Armstrong 16:24
4 men and 5 women received paychecks that were over my prediction. That is pathetic.
This course is not fast by any means. Teg won in 13:57 last year and 14:15 is always in the top 10 even on a deep year. The course has a lot of turns and a solid hill to slow down any type of kick. People usually run up to 20-30 sec slower than their track prs.
Although last years race was a bit slow and tacticle Teg ran over a min slower than his track PR. It takes at least a sub 13:20 guy to have a chance at 1340 on this course
seems like people still run fast on that course even if it's slow. maybe the competition is big part of it?

Sucked more or less than your fat lazy ass, sitting in front of your computer screen?
bump
By the way the story of the day is that Robert Cheseret was never on any official start list. Race directors didn't even know he was in the race. Seems unfair to me

How is that unfair?
