That is laugh out loud funnyy.
u americans always complain about foreigners. to u guys, to be american u have to be born in america. yes this is true. so should guys born in arizona, texas, new mexico be considered mexicans? without immigrants America wouldn't exist, not even the palio indians can lay claim to this country of immigrants so before u people turn your noses at immigrants check in your back yard, your Grand dad/mom may be from europe. freaking immigrants
peace out
Lighten up.
Wise ass oldguy
Wait, that IS pretty bad. I'm sure there has NEVER been a major U.S. marathon where an American-born man didn't beat the first US woman. No knock on Meb, but that's still crazy. Yes, most of the best ran Chicago or elsewhere, but still...
"so should guys born in arizona, texas, new mexico be considered mexicans?"
ha
haha
That one was pretty good oldguy.
Guys from Texas, California, etc., should be considered Mexican only if they have no car insurance.

Nice racist slam, buddy.
Where's joseph Aloysius McVeigh when you need him?
I wonder how Marla's marathon training will translate onto the track this coming track season...she definitely has alot of great base work behind her...
i can get u more than 20 women from under 2:30 from each jap and china.
it only shows how tough and hard asian women are.
american runners are famous just because they're americans. but sorry to say, today's usa women marathoners have no world standard at all.
I only respect marla cos shes handicapped, marion jones and dragila. the rest must work harder and show your boobs to the world.
Sevatonic,
I think you've missed my point. To paraphase Shakespeare, "I come to bury American men, not to praise Marla."
Although, Runyan's performance is still worthy of some praise. First American woman in her debut is praiseworthy.
I agree.
oldguy,
it was supposed to be a supporting comment to yours.
Sorry. I guess I was the one who misunderstood.
No, sevatonic is the one who is confusing, although i like the "show your boobs" part.
You only respect Marla cause she's handicapped? She's proven to be one of the most diverse athlete in track (and field) in spite of her handicap....I think you are more handicapped for being such a moronic fool. I'd like to see you get in the line with Marla in any distance. Also, give yourself a 500m handicap and we'll see who the real handicapped person is.
