He said in a recent interview he wants to keep the fans attention. That is why he wheres a different uniform for every meet. Im pretty sure it is designed by someone from the city where the meet is being held. Thats also why he talks about switching to long jump to keep the attention of fans. If I where him I wouldn't care who watches the races and just be worried about being the best I can be.
Because each human being is born with their own personal preferences and maybe Usain is attracted to...

But you aren't him and couldn't be him. Nobody here is Usain Bolt. He is unparalleled by anyone in track and field. He's very fast, and fast people probably have different fast-person priorities than slow people. He has to worry about REAL things, like fans, and image when it comes to his racing. All of us wash-outs have is our local Turkey Trot every Thanksgiving.

Agreed. He is doing everything right lately. Everyone in the world knows who Usain Bolt is and he is helping track and field.
Let him do his thing. Track and field is more than just running...if we want it to be popular then it must develop an image.
Let him do his thing and trust him! he hasn't proved us wrong yet.
There is a reason that most runners on the pro circuit dislike him.

What is that reason, that they can't beat him?

He is an arrogant ahole.

Nope. Its because he wears bright colorful uniforms with kindergarden style drawings on them to big name meets. Duh.
ya but we are trying to get track and field fans... not people who like to see what a guy wears every week. Really the only way we are going to get fans is if more kids start running track. The only people that will ever be interested in it are the ones who compete.
Kindergarten. It's a German word.
The More You Know (TM)
Clearly his marketing is working for him and Puma is doing a decent job, as we're having to stare at it every day we load LR.
For now, I'm happy to see runners enjoying ridiculous marketing. Maybe one day when it gets as bad as basketball marketing we can begin to dislike the runners because of their success.
