Hey all, hope all is well. 50 or so slow miles this week. Hot as hell here. Spent the last couple of days in and around the ocean trying to keep cool but also trying to take down some of the inflamation in my abs. The cold salt water seems to have a therapeutic affect to it. I should just stop running but the first phase of an injury for me is denial and I spend a long time in phase one before I reach phase 2 which is capitulation. I'm slowly starting to slip into my old fun ways too which isn't good.
Topic: Days off before a race
How many days off do you guys usually take off before a race if any? I actually like to run a few easy miles the days before a race.
Also I thought maybe some of you might want to start off this thread some weeks. Or at least not mind doing so. If not I'll continue to do so. I'll check in around 4 pm on Sundays (eastern standard time). If the thread isn't started yet then I'll start it. Don't be shy. I would like to see some others jump in and kick things off.
