Interesting. In wheating's postrace interview yesterday he said he didn't think he would be running this race because of the travel and rest issues after the race in paris on friday. Maybe he changed his mind, or maybe the startlist hasn't been updated. Either way, it will be cool to see Lagat and Acosta in this race.

As a big Oregon fan even I laughed. Believe it or not, not everything is meant to be taking too seriously in this world we live in.

A teammate and I once looked at his Oregon Bio to see his high school to college progression, and it was revealed that he was a sociology major. Just sayin...... I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he got these two locations confused.

Wheating is listed to run the 1500m in both Monaco (http://www.diamondleague-monaco.com/Global/Monaco/MONACO%20ENTRY%20LIST%2014.07.10.pdf) and Morocco (http://www.meetingdetanger.ma/english/program.cfm?event=1500m). I doubt that he would run in both.

andy was scheduled to run 1500s in each meet. i expect he'll run only monaco.

and for the pinheads commenting on the oregon education, fine, no one successful ever did undergrad work at oregon.

i hope wheating uses his british passport and runs for them in 2012. the brits will appreciate him. for you slow thinking guys, he has dual citizenship.

I had a good laugh at this thread. I'm pretty sure that the Oregon guys know Morocco from Monaco being that the meet Organizer in Moroocca is El Guerrouj. Most of the Oregon guys know El Guerouj on a first name basis, since his advanced degree program in Sports Marketing is at the University of Oregon (Warsaw Institute).
