I found out about it about 5 years ago when i looked up shin splints injuries on google.

I was doing some google search about a runner. I think it was fairly forgettable. On a whim I started browsing other threads and started seeing how odd, yet compelling, this board is. That, combined with the realization that it is one of the best one stop places for running news and conversation, made me somewhat of a regular.
I found this place after deciding Dyestat was a very naughty place.
My friend mentioned it in conversation.
Funny enough I was reading an article in Runnersworld and it mentioned a running site that I was unaware of. I checked it out, got hooked and gave up my RW subscription.
I was depressed and asked around for a place that I could put others down and inflate my meager running credentials in a virtual and anonoumous setting....and have my spelling/grammer checked in the process.

Same here. That was several years ago.
I think I probably heard it mentioned or saw it linked on a DyeStat message board in 2001 or 2002 when I was in high school. Probably visited nearly every day since. I remember being so sad in summer 2004 or so when the Brojos started this cryptic countdown on the homepage and it seemed like they were going to shut it down. It was torture! I have no idea how I'd keep up with running without LetsRun. It would be impossible.
you mean:
I was depressed and asked around for a place WHERE I could put others down and inflate my meager running credentials in a virtual and ANONYMOUS setting...(just 3 dots, please)and have my spelling/GRAMMAR checked in the process.
You're welcome!
I actually met Weldon. He told me about it.
Googled "Is a sub 2 hour marathon possible?"
Googled "Jordan Hasay college choice"
From a renowned scholar of Shakespeare at an ivy league institution.
The Brojos pimped its launch on tnfmedia.
A crappy runner told me about this crappy place.
From that midget guy named Waldo who likes to hide out in picture books.
I was actually watching the special features of Indulgence(the documentary about Tony Krupicka) and he mentions LetsRun.com. He describes it as "the place where all running discourse occurs on the internet." So of course I had to check it out.
Mentioned in a local newspaper article about 3 years ago...
Looked it up, and the rest, as they say, is history
I saw a video of one of the Johnson family winning a half marathon (?) with "Letsrun.com" on the front of his t shirt.
my high school coach made fun of dyestat and mentioned letsrun
