I think Snoop could do it if he stopped smoking weed. Didnt he go to Long Beach Poly? They are a powerhouse in track and field.

Back when the Longest Yard remake came out I heard that Nelly was pretty fast.
not a single one
Eminem wrote a song called 8 Mile, which might allude to his training regimen, so my money's on him.
50 cent looks like he is good shape, he could do it. Maybe not in his current condition, because of his weight loss for his movie role.
None of them. Eminem has the best training base, so he would probably be the top seed. I'd be impressed if he could break 2:25-2:30 though.

Eminem was training 11miles a day at one point. He runs a lot on the treadmill. Jadakiss says he runs 5.5 miles every morning in his latest mixtape, but he's overweight.
50cent looks like he's very cut and lean, but I doubt he could run much faster than 3:00 for an 800m.
Most of these rappers, if they bother running at all these days (since they've made it in the game and are no longer poor), are pretty much bodybuilding.com/Under Armour types, not that that's a bad thing, for their goals it is a good thing. they are most likely just doing it to lose the fat and look tough for the album covers.
Untrained none of them could. Master P was a good basket ball player. Lil Wayne is only about 5'5", I know that doesn't matter much in an 800 but doesn't strike me as a sportsman. 50 is too bulky pre weight loss at 214 lbs and 5'11". Snoop is skinny enough to do it, he's probably like 170 lbs and 6'3.5" but of course according to his lyrics he loves weed which won't help his cause.
Paul Wall can do it.

talk about summer boredom threads. None of them ever could which is why they are not athletes and went into the music business
Wale makes track references in his raps. I think I've heard him drop the names Carl Lewis and Gatlin and another one of his lines was "you need HGH to race with me"
I hear he was a high jumper in high school
LL Cool J is probably the rapper that is in the best shape. Da Brat ran track in high school. The Game ran track in high school and played basketball at Washington State until possession did him in.
And then there is this guy.......
http://www.advancetitan.com/titan-style/versatile-student-goes-from-runner-to-rapper-1.1173966
He ran 2:00 high in high school for 800, 4:18 - 1600, 9:40 3200. He went on to run at UW-Oshkosh
But I'm pretty sure his rap credentials aren't what you're looking for.
Will Smith?
YOU GUYS ARE GIVING ALL THESE RAPPERS WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT FOR THEIR APPEARANCE of being tough. they can lift a decent amt of weight, yes, but GUARANTEE YOU IF YOU HELD An 800m TIME TRIAL in a couple weeks, MAYBE EMINEM WOULD RUN SUB 2:30 FOR 800M, and that's a maybe because he runs on the treadmill regularly, but THE REST OF THEM would BE very LUCKY TO BREAK 2:50 TO 3:00 for 800m.
Remember that if you DONT RUN FOR AWHILE and havent been running regularly, running an 800m sub 3:00 CAN PUT YOU OUT OF BREATH.it's idiotic to think otherwise
I don't think any rapper could run sub 1:55 (unless there is one who was recently a track runner?) But sub 2:30 is NOT VERY HARD for some of these guys who are in great physical condition.
AND YES, 50 Cent COULD RUN SUB 2:30 back when he lost like 50 pounds for the movie role.
Want to guess how he lost so much weight besides liquid dieting? He ran like 3x a day on the tread mill. Do the math.
Will Smith for sure, his cardio is infinite.
T.I.
I'm not saying any of those I put out there could, just that those are the most likely candidates. I don't think they would come close. The guy associated with the link probably did run sub 2:00 at some point.

Everybody here thinks that running <2:30 for the 800m is easy, since only good runners can go <2:00. Therefore, somebody in moderate shape, who runs a lot can easily go <2:30.
Go to a local road race and you will find plenty of fit people who can do 11 mile runs (like Eminem) who cannot break 2:30, let along 3:00 for an 800.
If somebody said E was doing his 11 mile runs around 6:30 pace, yeah, maybe I would think so. But just because somebody runs 11 miles doesn't mean they can run 5 minute mile pace for a 400m, let alone 800m.
And yes, I can average <2:30 800m pace for a 10K... but at least I respect that doing a 2:30 is not easy for most people, including plenty of runners who actually train.
