My sister lives in Pittsburgh and just asked for a shoe recommendation. She's always jogged occasionally and has used the same pair of generic nikes for exercising and such the past couple years, but she's starting to run more and plans to run a half in November.
I live in CA and don't know her running style, so I thought I'd send her to a reputable shop. So what's good? How about the Fleet Feet that's a few miles west of the city?
That's the only pgh running store I use.
I highly recommend Elite Runners and Walkers. It is slightly out of the city in Robinson, but they have a really great selection of shoes and product in general, and the customer service is excellent.

The owner is very active in the local running scene and deserves the support!
So 2 for Elite and 1 for Fleet. Very small sample size but I suppose I'll go with Elite unless I hear something else soon. Thanks guys.

Up-N-Running is the best one in the area, it's about 20 miles outside of Pittsburgh, actually located in Valencia, PA, but certainly worth the trip.
