I am taking on the project of trying to assemble a pair of running shorts with my sewing machine. Before I come up with the design I wanted to ask LRC what features your dream pair of running shorts would include. I know I want to make them short with splits. Also, what material would you guys recommend. Any suggestions?

My dream pair of running shorts I have already made. They have a liner just like regular running shorts, except the liner is a thong. Basically I just rework the liner and elastic to make a thong liner instead of the the normal liner. In the reworking I also make it so that the shorts sit lower on my hips. They are pretty much low rider running shorts now like my low rider jeans. So much more comfortable than regular running shorts and so much more sexy.
Old-skool supplex (nylon) instead of the now-ubiquitous polyester. For whatever reason it doesn't reek nearly as bad after you sweat in it.
Suggest you make some matching chaps too, if you want 'em to be popular with this crowd.
