The score you get on the Chemistry regents might be lower than your actually score due to a negative curve. Here's how and why they are doing this. They had to dumb down the test because such a large percentage of kids wouldn't PASS it. This results in a large number of kids at the upper end getting very high grades. They don't want people seeing all the high scores and knowing that they dumbed it down (which of course they did) so they will use the negative curve to bring down high gradeas.
This might be for other Regents scores too. It stinks.
