I know there are plenty of stories of crazy Japanese marathon workouts like 5 hour runs, 20K buildups on an indoor 200 meter track, etc. I am looking for a particular reference to a particular workout.
As I remember it, the workout was outdoors, on a small loop, and consisted of many laps of this small loop. The loop may have been 40 or 140 meters long (I seem to remember a "4" in there somewhere)and the athlete may have been Seko or another runner coached by Nakamura.
I have Googled Seko, Nakamura, etc., and all I can find is the 1325 meter asphalt loop that Seko frequently ran on. The loop I'm thinking of was much smaller.
Anyone? Thanks in advance.
