This year at the Pan Am Games, I for the first time became aware of the resources that are available to Olympic Level athletes. Kind of shocking that I had to make a national team before finding this info out.
(A good link of some of the resources available to athletes is now online at:

)
But what even shocked me more was that Sandra Patrick Farmer is the track and field rep to the Olympic Committee. I almost fell out of my chair. My first thought was, "but she has a drug conviction".
I know she was convicted at the time of Mary Slaney and Slaney had her conviction overturned by USATF but not the IAAF. So does anyone know if Sandra Patrick Farmer had her conviction overturned by anyone? If USATF overturned her conviction, not the IAAF, I guess she like Mary Slaney could argue she was clean, but otherwise I feel she should resign from her post.
Also does anyone know how she got elected to her job. Never in all my days as an athlete have I ever been sent a ballot to vote on anything.
Perhaps Slaney and SFP are innocent but they certainly have not presented their case to the public at large. Slaney's lawyer contacted us last year but if they are truly innocent it is time they tried to clear there names in public. For very few drug cheats, ever admit to their crimes.
And this issue has been on my mind for a few months now, but for some reason I had done nothing about it. I got an email today from a track and field rep for some USATF committee and decided to start acting.
If anyone wants to contact me privately my email address is above.
