I remember Bill Rodgers running an hour race in 1977 and hit the 20,000m mark in 58:25(US Record) He measured out about 22470 yards for the hour is that still the USAone hour track record and do they ever run this event on the road?

I believe Meb set the American 20k record en route at the San Jose Rock N Roll Half Marathon.
Assuming this list is up-to-date (which it probably is), Rodgers still has the AR.

Also, to the second poster, Rodgers was way before Meb's time (year-wise), it was an AR back then. Also, wouldn't Hall's 20k split be the AR now and not Meb's?
I believe that one hour run is just a track event for record purposes. How would you do it on the roads?
I think that when Hall ran his AR half marathon, the 20k split was unofficial, so although it was faster than Meb's, it does not count for record puposes.
