What are the best Extra Slim Fit Dress Shirts Out There for skinny runner dudes like us? for dress shirt (non casual)? I ask because it's tough to get the fit right. Even the so called tailored slim fit is often not slim enough for skinny runner dudes.
trials (so far):
Brooks Brothers slim fit - tried it and it's real good, but still a bit too much fabric in the back on me. not quite that European fit I want....I've heard Brooks Brothers now has an extra slim fit but I haven't seen it yet.
Thomas Pink slim fit - awesome. probably the best ever fit on a runner type like me. sick styles too ..The downside -> kind of expensive, have to go to a NYC mall to find a Thomas Pink store to try em on.
Thanks.
Bonobos shirts come with a collar and arm length size spec and I’ve rarely found tailored fit shirts with 15x35 in other brands. European brands will give you slim fit but not always the length if you are tall, especially if they only come in standardized (S, M, L) sizes.
Brooks Brothers was always too billowy for me. The extra small would fit me well around the torso but the shoulder looked like a little girl’s.
Another tip: find a good tailor locally. It takes $15-$25 bucks for most shirt alterations and it’s well worth it for dress shirts.
