400m- "49 something"
800m- 1:48
1500m- 3:32
Ebuya is currently schooling Bekele atm too. 3 Kenyans ahead of him 18 mins into the 9km race. About 50 meters from the leader.
Ebuya wins.
Kenyan 1-2-3 with Bekele miles back in 4th.
His worst finishing position in a race since 2001. I wonder what the issue was.
Bekele trounced today. Kenyans swept top 3 spots. Post race interview - he partially blamed the weather...didn't train the final 3 days before the race because of the snow...
No mention of his alleged time off from running to refresh himself recently. I would guess that played a role in his relative lack of fitness. Thoughts on how this affects his plans to go after WRs this year?
He's supposed to be going after the world indoor record for 3k on Feb. 20. I guess we'll know at that point.
Don't put too much stock in this race. Historically, he hasn't performed too well in early winter races (probably way early season for him). He'll be ready for summer when it counts.

He's won this race several times before. I don't know what kind of layoff he's had but after some serious training, he'll be back at the top again.
