About a week ago I went for a run in the deep snow (stupid), and started to get some tightness/soreness on the inside of my knee about 7 miles into the run. It wasn't a big deal, but I skipped the strides I had planned on and just iced it. The discomfort was across the inside of my knee, and it felt as though the ligament there were somehow rubbing on the knee or something, and occasionally would get 'tight' during running. The next day I warmed up without pain but during a tempo it felt somewhat tight so I came home early and hit the ice. The next day it was sore walking around, so I took two days off.
After this mini break it felt fine walking around, though if i bent my leg and pushed in on my foot I could feel some soreness. I did an easy 4mile jog and the next day it was a bit more painful.
Now I've taken two more days off - and am wondering waht I can do for cross training/rehab etc and what the prognosis is for this kind of thing. Has anyone experienced something similar?
