Because you are a white collar runner.
Because you can ditch the arm-warmers once you get warm.
I guess because long sleeve shirts can get a little too warm, and sometimes they just feel heavy. I know when I race, I like to wear as little as possible, so I avoid t-shirts and long sleeves whenever possible. I haven't resorted to using arm warmers yet, but I can see how they might be practical and comfortable, even if part of it is mental.
Get the type with pockets, so you can store spare tampons.
I'm a triathlete and couldn't decide if I really needed arm warmers. Well, I ponied up and found a set on sale (for only $85!) and I love them. I won't travel without them.
Got some new nike one's for 20...
Somone got ripped off...

I would have rated this 2/10 but someone already fell for it.
Arm warmers are pretty decent if there's strong wind or cold conditions in a race and you need to wear a team vest. Not as warm as wearing a LS, which I can imagine overheating in.

Great!
I got mine for $7.95!
I think it's great that you don't mind looking like a tool.
If you're a pro, then probably because your sponsor offered you money to do so.
