I'm new here. I like this topic. I would say that Bekele could literally destroy that chimpanzee, because he is a champanzee(this is a witty pun, because he's a "champ").

On further review, I doubt there is a man on Earth capable of slamming any 200 lb mammal by a limb against a wall with enough force to hurt it, let alone swing it.
The chimp wins.
Fyi, people are mammals.
No way.
It would go Ape sh!t on you.

To think that humans still interbred with chimps after our lineage split from theirs is scary.
Makes you wonder what type of man it took to go into a Chimp troop and take their women.
Probably happened the other way around.
First off- take the greatest fighter in the world. Anything is possible so i won't say it can't be done, but 99 times out of a hundred a chimp is gonna remove the body parts he's curious about and if the human is lucky, he might still have a head and maybe chimp gets distracted before the human bleeds out.
Secondly - i was disturbed by the statement "humans still interbred with chimps" and "our lineage split from theirs." I'm not saying no one's ever boned a chimpanzee... like i said, anything is possible, especially with roofies or GHB. But even if a dude raw dogged a chimp it can't produce an offspring. And even though Debbie Wasserman-Schultz looks like the missing link, There's absolutely no shared "lineage" between the two species regardless of who takes which woman .
300 ibs. is fairly weak in comparison to anyone with 3 months of serious training. You only weigh 180, ibs most of which is not muscle since if it was, your squat would be closer to 400 Ibs. The chimp outweighs you by 20 pounds, which is most certainly solid muscle. A chimps grip strength is easily 3-4 times stronger than yours, so it should be able to break out of any hold fairly easily, unless you have martial arts training. A chimp is also likely much more limber than you, as well as smaller, which means that it has a lower center of gravity which would make it hard to knock over. A chimps bite psi is also around 600 , so all it would take is one bite to either crack open your skull, or hit a major artery. Chimps are also not stupid like other animals, it would have to be mentally retarded for you to be able to confuse it by running circles around it. The best course of action for a human like you would be to simply run away, a chimp would most likely not be able to catch you if you did, and wouldn't care enough to pursue you for very long. If you tried to fight it without a weapon, you would lose.
An average man cannot bench press 250 Ibs, it would take at least 5-6 months of tough training to get the average man to that level. An average man would be able to press around 160-180 max. which would mean that the average chimp can bench around 800 ibs. Which is pretty much accurate considering a large gorilla can lift a ton, easily.

Chimpanzees don't weigh anywhere close to 200 pounds.
I haven't read all the response, but no, I could not take a 200-lb chimp in a fight and neither could anyone here. He could rip our faces off. Come on.
This thread is bull. All these arguments have been used to claim that a man could never beat a kangaroo in a fight, and look how true that was.

So the lady in connecticut was mauled by a large chimp. It got me thinking, what would happen to me in that situation? Say you had no way to escape or use a weapon, I'm 180 lbs, and fairly strong (300 squat) but I've read chimps are roughly 4-7 times "stronger" than humans. I think I would try to confuse him by running circles around him, try to get on his back and choke him out or gouge his eyes. Anything to avoid letting him get on top of me. The question is, do you think that you would end up the same as that woman if you were put into that situation?
yes i would win. stick your finger up his azz , the chimp would be as confused as hell.
I’m certain that Matt London would easily defeat a chimpanzee. Of course the chimp would have to be 210 lbs, have a dislocated wrist and have proof that it had never been taking steroids.

This has Joe Rogan written all over it. No, you couldn't. You'd be so badly maimed in the first few seconds that you'd be a quivering ball of blood and snot before you knew it. These animals are terrifying, have you watched what they do to each other in the wild? I find people that own these animals are beyond looney - akin to owning a Lion, that's has to intelligence of a toddler.
Sure you could take the chimp. They're just dumb animals with no knowledge of MMA or even how to land a right cross. Go try one at your local zoo.
