Anyone had these on yet? Are they an appropriate spike for 3-5k? We are about to order our spikes, but I haven't seen one outside of a picture.

Used them this weekend for a 3k, and loved them...Plan on using them for the 5k in the spring as well. Used to wear the adistar MD's, which I really liked as well. The have a good spike plate but not too aggressive, I havent done a ton of track work yet in them yet butas far as workouts, strides and one race they are great.
They are a higher dollar spike. Stiff for a distance shoe and lacking in heel cushioning. The plastic from the forefoot spike plate extends into the mid-foot similarly to most sprint spikes. Very minimal upper, probably won't last too many races. If you have steeplers who like stiffer, harder shoes (I have one) then it's a good shoe. I personally, and most of my runners as well, prefer something a little softer and more flexible. The new Adidas Titan LD, Adidas Cosmo MD, Nike Rival MD, and New Balance's new distance spike (I forget the number) are good ones. NB's have a soft, minimal upper like the kennedys.
These are wonderful racing spike shoes. They are extremely lite. I will race in these this year. Also, do not be afraid to try the Zoom W also by Nike evn if you are a man. These also are excellent racing shoes.
