LAX being overrated
I forgot the = sign... but I think you get it...
Twitter feed must've been mistaken on the finish, because it's now reporting NCC 22 (the reported places would've been 21), Lacrosse 105.
Very impressed. Talking to some people associated with the program a while back (I am not), lots of folks are giving assistant coach Ray Krauss a lot of credit for North Central's resurgence. Whatever the case, they are mighty impressive.
Giving Ray Krauss the credit is completely incorrect and a disservice to the members of that team that turned it around themselves.
Ray knows I mean nothing negative by my comment. He is a good coach and has helped the program, but todays performance is due to the guys on the team taking ownership and turning it around themselves.
Obviously Al is a huge factor as well.
No offense to Ray, who serves as an assistant on the staff, but I don't think he nor anyone associated with the program will tell you that the "credit" for this years NCC team along with everyone since they've been together go to Al, and Grammy.
I didn't say he deserved all of the credit, most of the credit, or much of the credit. I simply said that I spoke with some alums of the program and they gave him some credit. There's nothing in that statement that takes away anything from the runners themselves, Al Carius, or anyone else.
Results??
you are probably right, especially because this is his first year with the program...or wait, maybe it has something to do with having 12 or so guys dropping 95+ mile weeks for the past 2-3 years
I heard that Ray has completely turned the program around as well. He can be credited for Iowa going 8-0 however, he had to be at a NCC practice during their 9th game, and you saw how that turned out... He actually als spends his summers helping with the Cubs organization, but come October has to return to NCC, which is why they typically have a rough post seasion. Ray is currently working on a plan so that he had coach all of these teams at once from an under ground bunker on the west side of Chicago...
Sensitive crowd.
Trying to get back on topic now, what was with Wilhelmy in this race?
Eau Claire strong!!!
That course was super easy today. It might have even been a little short.
yo momma...
I think Greg Ortiz should get much of the credit
Ray would be the first one to tell you the team won, that the credit belongs to the runners for their year long effort, and that without Al and Grammy, NCC would never be near the caliber that they are at, nor would they "run for fun and personal best" on a daily level...Ray never singles himself out, he always points to others and recognizes their success first...that is why Ray is an outstanding coach, an outstanding man, and epitomizes everything that Al teaches, it is about service to others...
The whole lax team came down with vaginitis, I guess it's pretty bad in that fagot town??!!!
I expected more out of Augustana and Whitewater (and Osh Kosh did HORRIBLE on their home course). Who saw the WashU guys snagging 3rd so close to LaX? Nice pack of 4 right around 25. Kudos to Eau Clair and Platteville as well.
I don't think anyone ever suggested that Ray took the credit. this post has been horribly misread. Someone only suggested that people were giving him credit. Let's not get crazy here, and now give him no credit... let's all come to an agreement to give him some credit. How about 15%? any one have any better suggestions?
