I was in a local running store today and they had a sale on my favorite shoes (mizuno wave riders). They had last years models for 90 and the ones from two years ago for 70. I've run through a pair of each and liked both equally, so I thought I'd go with the cheaper pair. The salesman said the older pair the rubber would probably be stiff and I was better to go with the newer ones.
Is this true? I mean its not just everyday rubber, plus wouldn't the first 50 miles pretty much deal with any stiffness?
Anyways if anyone's had any experience with this it would be appreciated.
Also yes 90 is on sale in Canada 150-130 is pretty standard from past experience.
