2. Indefinite? Probably not. Long-lasting? Yes.
3. The recent warming trend appears to have started when human industry began creating large amounts of pollution, and it seems to be happening faster than before (fact check please, I'm going off my memory here). This is in no way proof, but it's enough to raise questions about our role in causing or accelerating climate change.
4. I don't believe it will STOP the warming trend, but slowing it down (if that's what reducing CO2 would do) would give the world more time to adjust.
5. I don't buy into that either.
6. There are ways to save money while reducing CO2 emissions and other pollution, too. I know a number of colleges and universities have wind turbines which greatly reduce their electric bills.
7. I hope it doesn't come to that, because I don't think anyone has an answer. Personally, I think we've already crowded out a lot of those solutions with other spending, but that's a whole different story.
