Not a healthy way to look at it...I'd look at it more as a test to see how compassionate one is and how they treat others that are less fortunate than themselves but are still human beings that need love...

I like Walmart. My kind of peeps!
Were you the only normal person in the store? Was it Saturday night?
And you ObamaCare supporters want to pay for these deadbeats health care???
And maybe yours when you lose your job as a prick :-)-
you obviously dont know the walton's. dont disgrace a nice family just cause you dont know whats going on. you wanna run walmart? poor people need a place to shop, i mean you cant just let them starve on the streets
We are the only country in the history of mankind where the poor people are obese. Our poor are dying from diseases caused by poor diets. In most of the world, the poor died from diseases caused by famine...ain't nobody in Walmart dying from starvation.
I think we should only give healthcare to rich good looking people who would never spend more than 10 minutes in Walmart.

Do you really think he's suggesting that?
Don't give healthcare to anybody. Make them earn it.

Post of the year.
Here is the thing:
It is very easy to laugh at these people and call them freak shows. Sure enough, many of them probably brought this upon themselves...
But
A lot of these people have gotten into these unfortunate positions through no fault of their own. What if you had been born into a family that never took you to a doctor or dentist, only fed you what was on sale at the local gas station and rarely showed you any love. How would you turn out?
It is so tempting to call these people freak shows, but the truth is that these people lack something very fundamental. It might not be the same for everyone, but it is something major.
I used to laugh at these people too, and talk about how I hated Wal-Mart, the Mall and the general public itself b/c every time I went anywhere with "the public" it was like a freak show. People missing limbs, absurd obesity, etc.
One day, I had a cousin who was born without her lower leg. This was through no fault of her parents - who are very healthy (wealthy even) people who are responsible, hard workers. It made me view these people in a different light. had she been born into a lower class family, she would have NO HOPE. As it is, she is fine. She even runs. But she had everything going for her. Things happen to people, and while some have the resources to recover, others don't.
I have no answer, all I ask is that you show a little compassion to these people. Give them the benefit of the doubt. As I said earlier, many probably got themselves into their own mess through ignorance and sloth, but many might be there through tragedy. Show them love, even if it is hard for you to do so.
Can't anyone see the cycle?
They are obese because they eat cheap, processed, and in some cases (corn syrup)government subsidized foods that are terrible for them. And where do they aquire such cheap unhealthy foods to perpetuate the cycle? Of course the jobs that pay an adequate amount so that they might be able to break the cycle are fading. Where have they gone? Choked out by some some huge company that has gotten multi tax breaks for years and years and bring in cheap crap from China without much of an import tax. And the name of this company?
I will pay slightly more to avoid this giant so that I can at least "think" that my children have a chance.

And for that you are a good man. Your children are lucky.
If you think your Wal-Mart is bad...you should come to the one in Starkville!
Does anyone know if there is a Wal-Mart in Wisconsin Dells, WI? That would be the perfect storm of diet, socio-economic status and lifesyle.
Also, for everyone who is saying "compassion, compassion, compassion" aren't you making assumptions about these people as well? Maybe they are as happy in their cellutlite-filled, orange-dayglo-pant wearing world as Master runners are in their dolphin short wearing, dayglo singlets. Maybe they are just as fine with a belly that Santa would be proud to call his own, as a long distance runner with abs as taunt as a surfboard is. Might be, they don't need no stinking compassion. Did you ever think of that?

What? Are you seriously trying to justify your hate that way?
Thanks Ad Guy, you just quantified what I said. Appreciate it, and have a great day. I love you man!

Nah, he (past tense) and his family have made nearly a trillon $'s off these nightmares coming to buy his inexpensive and cheaply made crap from china. And most of these types work for him too. As long as they keep coming through his doors to buy his crap, and continue to staff his part-time, low-skilled jobs in droves I am sure he/his family didn't/doesn't give a damn what they look like.
The Waltons are as filthy rich as his customer are just plain filthy.
Wal-Mart's prices and the manner in which their buyers RAPE (YES, R-A-P-E) every one of the their suppliers and vendors are the reason why there is very little production of consumer goods in the US anymore.
US companies are outsourcing more overseas and laying off more people to stay afloat. Other buyers of Target, etc. are following suit. Look no further than Wal-Mart for the reason why jobs are disappearing.
I NEVER buy from Wal-Mart. But I go in the store weekly and spit on your grandparents every time they greet me and offer a cart.

You should watch a movie called Food Inc. Bad unhealthy food is cheap, good wholesome food is typically not. You can buy a lot of food off the dollar menu at Mcdonalds. It cost more to make a meal with better ingredients. Less nutritional starchy carbs is cheap and the government subsidizes these types of products instead of quality food products.
