WTF!
WTF!
There is a Facebook group dedicated to Firing Hawkins.
He may not last the season.
stick a fork in him cuz the hawk is done!
i am glad though that the football team is suffering - ha ha.
They are very young, but, yes, they are bad. Pretty much in all phases of the game. They just don't possess the speed and athleticism of years gone by, primarily because the program went in the direction of the toilet as soon as Neuheisel took the reigns (which is why I can't stand seeing him at UCLA now either). Neuweisel also heisted their best playmaker in Josh Smith from last season.
I wouldn't want to be Wyoming coming into Boulder next week coming off of a game with Texas and facing a team that's "out for blood" with eight days of rest. There's always the "North" division and Nebraska as consolation prizes too.
I'm afraid that Hawkins and his son should've stayed in Boise.
And by the way, one could argue that Barnett had CU "back on track in the wake of Neuheisel," but the bad aura and political climate was already planted in the AD's office and extended up to the chancellor. Recruiting classes went downhill every year, which just goes to show you how great of an x's and o's guy Barnett was (just look what he did at Northwestern and at CU in 2001), but he wasn't a consummate politician like Neuweisel. Proved his downfall.
I don't know what the early line is on CU-Wyo, but I'd be absolutely STUNNED if CU lost that game. Shit, it could be the only game they win all year besides maybe Iowa State.
