He has a PR of 13:22 I'm not saying its impossible but its highly unlikely he will be the next one or that he will ever go under 13:10. I don't think he will ever qualify for another WC or OC actually. Prove me wrong Evan!! I hope you do.

Lady, not only will Evan Jager prove you wrong, he will rule your roost with a vengeance.
Very true, a few months ago I actually thought Rupp would be the one to start it next summer (simply because we didn't know Ritz would come around so quickly) but it has begun at every level.
Ritz, Webb and Hall started it at the high school level, Rupp took it further, Fernandez further. I mean when a guy like Chris Derrick (13:55? alone at arcadia, 13:29 mid season as a collegiate) gets overlooked because of what one or more of his peers are doing you have to know that the momentum has picked way up and expectiations have risen along with it.
When will Evan rule the roost? I heard he may be injured. Does anyone even know?
i dont know.
but running 3:38, 3:54, 7:41, 13:22 at 20 years old is a pretty good start to his career
i think by the time he's 28 he will have run 3:33, 3:50, 7:36, and 13:08
i think those are pretty safe predictions, considering what he's proven to be capable of doing and considering the company he's in and considering who his coach is.
even if he is injured, he has time to heal and get back in shape. just a small bump in a long road.
This guy may make for good jokes, but look at that 7:41 3k:
In IAAF tables, it is worth 1170 points, roughly.
That's equivalent to 13:11 5k, 27:35 10k, and then also nearly 1:45 flat 800m, 2:15 1k, 3:35 1500m, and 3:52 mile. The latter two are close to what he actually ran. And this guy is 20! Any prediction for his future that does not include American records is wack.
NOT injured

So in 8 years, even during his prime, you think he'll only cut 5 clicks off his 3K and 14 off his 5K? Very safe predictions indeed!
The jagerman will be the next best thing like rice krispie treats. He will claim the hens. I hope he can break 13 minutes in the 5k by December.
The OTC group said Jager was training for a half marathon. Is this true?

Denzel if I know.
All I can say is that if there happens to be a roost somewhere, he's gonna damn well rule that mother licker!
Him's daddy think him's good.

Evan's dad is Chuck Norris. And his mom is Jason Rexing.

Well I don't usually dig up old threads for self gratification but I thought this would be fun given what's happened this season and what people have said about Solinsky not being on anyones radar last year (not true!) and a few people just weeks ago still saying Rupp wouldn't be breaking 13:00. Also reflected on the Wheating doubters. Sometimes hindsight is cool. Some of you might have a laugh at this and the whole thread.
jager will go sub 13 in the next 2-3 years, but the next american who will go sub 13 is rupp on august 19th 2010 in zurich.

Evan Jager is going to RULE THE ROOST and that's a flat jack promise Pete. I'm going to call a spade a spade here and tell you how the man is going to tackle the town. UPSIDE and sitter squalled!
Ummm...word through it. The man is jacked like a pineapple cup!
Given that this was written in September of last year, and how shocked everyone was after Solinsky banged out 26:59 at Stanford this spring, this would be very eerie if it wasn't logical!
Evan grew his hair out to attain the rock star look, but instead got the Carrot Top look.
Jager's broken at the moment. Won't even be running again until November.

A broken Jager can still rule a moose roost. Yes?
