She ran a great race and people were talking about it, unfortunately for her it got overshadowed by an american record.
USA women's mid-distance is looking pretty decent right now.
decent? Come on, you can come up with a better word than decent! How about incredible year this year for USA women! 3 women go sub 4, Rowbury right on the tip of it. Two of those women are also tremendous Steeplers! Yes this is a brilliant year for USA distance!

True, we all noticed, and many of us were screaming at the computer screen for Anna to get the win.
And then a little later...Ritz changed the world and our thoughts for the day!
Congrats ANNA! And Dathan!
I love this resurgence in distance running. On a much lower level, I notice an upswing at the high school level. I'm not talking Footlocker and Nike Finalists. I'm talking about the average, locally decent high school runner. They're running more and running faster.
Thank goodness someone finally started a thread about this. It was also a very exciting race. Yeah, Anna!

Agreed, and now they are gaining in confidence there is more to come
Yes, the w1500 was the race of the day until Ritz. Anna was predicting a medal last week and this week showedhow close she really was.
Rowbury quietly great again.
I would like to see a bit of Anna's training from Feb-April.
Just a few years ago Canada had 3 girls at 4:05 and they outperformed US girls. Now we have slipped back and US girls on fire, along with Brits. Africans must be thinking what the hell is happening!
ya amazing race by anna and the american girls once again!
what canadian girls were consitently at 4:05 a few years ago??
What a great progression. From Brown to Michigan to the Olympics to number three on the US list. She has the potential to do even more.
Congrats to Anna and everyone who has helped her, especially Mike McGuire who helped her develop from an Ivy League champ to an international competitor.
Carman Douma,Hilary Stelingworth,Malindi Elmore all 4:05 or better.
and eddylee still hasn't!
hahahahahaha.
More American women have gone sub 4 THIS YEAR than EVER before in the past. USA mid-distance women are clearly our strongest distance team and are amazing.
Incredible job, Anna! So awesome!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
