I bet he'll run pretty damn fast coming off of his 6th place finish in the 10k at Worlds. I predict sub 13:10.

only 10 Kenyans in the field to go after Bekele. It should be an interesting race.

typical let's run guy.. always hoping that the great pumpkin will arrive but never does...
Ritz hopes he will run fast too, after the 6th place finish at Worlds. He is hoping for sub 13:10 also. Ritz, typical world class runner guy
I think that Felix vs Richards in the W400 is interesting. Maybe a 48.8 for someone?

Problem is, Bekele will go 12:49. Bekele cannot be broken by even 10 Kenyans.
Ritz will run 13:08
Bekele 12:48
You heard it hear first
Hopefully the pace goes around 12:58 so Ritz has someone to run with. If it goes closer to 12:50, he might end up in no man's land. In an evenly paced race, I'd give Ritz 13:08.
I'm sure most Americans who follow distance running are hoping that Ritz does well, that's a no-brainer; however, 13:08 might be a little too well for him at this point in time. His PR is 13:16+.
Lets not forget 27:22 at WC is pretty dam fast, and Ritz has run 8:11 2 mile.
13:08 give a take a second or two would fall right in alignment with his 2M and 10k.
If the pace is quick from the gun he will go sub 13:10
Wow some actual good guesses on his time. No way sub 13 but 13:08-13:12 is about where his fitness is. Also depends on how the race is ran. (Tactical or from the gun)
He will run 13:07.42
13:03.69
13:11.05
+10 sec.

I'm thinking Ritz is going to be fairly tired.
I think Ritz would be pleased with something in the 13:10-13:14 range. I think that would be a nice PR for now.
He was on that pace in the venue where Webb set his mile AR.
Ritz folded badly on the last lap of that race. Hopefully marathon strength will pull him through. He is concerned about his spot in the American running history books and whats to make a dent or 2 in the "All time AR lists"
13:07.69

Wow. Look at that line up.
Ritz vs. all of East Africa.
Even the Qatar guy is a Kenyan transplant.
