The next great 800 meter runner will most likely be a Kenyan who grows up running 8k/10k races as a teenager and later discovers he has great track speed. It will be someone like Asbel Kiprop (world junior XC champ/1:43.17 800 PR), who could be a insane 800 guy, but has chosen to focus on the 1500 instead.
