Ritz was 3rd at the world xc championships AND then ran 13:4X as a high schooler. Not sure German is really ahead of him yet. In the mile yes.

oh how quickly we forget.
Brent Vaughn 13:18
how are most people forgetting him?
I feel like I am taking crazy PILLS!
PS Scotty Bauhs...not that cool
Yes, how quickly forget! ...
that Brent Vaughn was a 13:?? guy before that race.
that anyone who predicted sub-13:20 for Vaughn last year would've been considered a lunatic.
that someone in this field is going to run a huge PR in the 5k because someone always does here. Probably a bunch of guys at different ability levels will have major break-throughs. The trick is predicting which ones will do it.
(and now I'm defending my bats*** prediction)
that German ran a 3:56.50 in his indoor debut.
that he ran faster than any American collegian ever has in the indoor mile.
that both Dave Smith and German's high school coach have insisted that German gets better with distance.
that German beat Bethke by nearly 6 seconds in the 3k at Washington and that Bethke ran 13:27 two weeks ago.
when when the confirmed enties by up? and where can i find them? thanx
Wait until it hits the fan...
The OSU stud is just a man...
A man that Stanford deems just a pup...
He's in HEAT 2, WTF?
Hard to count out Chelanga based on his success so far this year. However, assuming German is fit, I would not count him out to be in the mix. German's track times so far this year are more impressive than most, especially when you consider little competition in some of his races. My prediction is based on German not being satisified with his WXC result, being a better track runner than XC and in a fast race he will be top three, with new AJR.
Chelanga is in Section 1 while Fernandez is in Section 2.
Fernandez is in with
Bak
Boldon
Bor
Burrell
Clark
Coe
Crouch
Davis
Derrick
Fitzgerald
Furst
Gunn
Jager
Kipchumba
Kloos
Kosgei
Luchini
Mead
Milne
Okello
Rankin
Rombough
Strang
Vail

Click on "accepted entries by section"
F*** that, move the course and run the whole group together.
OK, recognizing that I am inviting a select few of the Let's Run crowd to tell me how incredibly stupid I am I am hoping that a different select one will tell me how exactly to find these section lists. I don't see any "accepted entries by section" when I click on the provided link.
Help please. And thanks much.

Left hand side, toward the top.
Left side of page. first link on top.
looks like Bumbalough and Debole are the only collegiates in section 1, but both listed as unattached rather than G'Town. Henner's got some pull, huh?

Adam Goucher is in Heat 3 if that makes German feel any better...

Except Chelanga obviously. Is there a rationale for putting Fernandez in section 2? What is Fernandez's PR in the 5000 meters? Not good enough?
Fernandez PR in 5,000 -- can this be right? 14:24 ?? They seem to have his other PRs up to date.

1) Fernandez has no 5K mark
2) Remember pre-nationals? Coach Smith may have wanted him to face less fierce comp. at this point for less pressure and to make sure he has a shot a winning.
WHY IS FERNANDEZ NOT IN HEAT 1????
Why is he racing chumps. He will win this heat by several seconds, easily.
pathetic.
Not sure if it's my browser, but when I click on the "accepted entries" link, it just has accepted entries; nothing is broken down by section. Can someone please cut and paste?
