GF if he runs it.
GF has peaked too early.
Ulrey if he runs it.
German in ~3:54.6

You know this how? I highly doubt German would win if he ran the mile, though. Could he handle the rounds and the tactics of a non-rabbited race against some pretty experienced guys? It would be exciting if he could, I just doubt it will happen. Plus, I think he has a better shot in the 3000.
Rupp if he runs it. I predict he can run 3:52 if pushed.
I think German will do fine with rounds. He is more comfortable clicking off fast, even splits than about anyone and can kick home in 56 off a 2:59 1200, so there's not really a type of race that should worry him. At least not at the NCAA level as he's so much better than most of the guys who will be in a final. Plus, he recovers as fast as anyone out there (remember his State Meet double last year?).
With that said, I don't think he'll run the mile. But god would it be awesome to see him and Ulrey and Wheating in the same championship race! Can you imagine ...

didn't he run like 4:10 the night before his 4:00 in high school? he can handle the rounds.
Seems to be a lot of respect for German who is undoubtably the brightest talent out there but NCAA titles are not won easily and he isn't like Manzano who could couple a great time with an insane kick (and by his final year the experience to match it).
I'm going for Emmanuel from New Mexico. After watching the race on Flotrack he should've won, after being clipped he rallied and got back to almost win after being the only one to really chase his time. He looks like he could sit in on a fast pace and kick to win.
Looks like you will have to run under 4:00.3 to make Nationals!
does osu have a dmr? If that is the case, Rupp, Ulery and Fernandez will be running DMR, Mile and 3000 at NCAA's,
So Fernandez will have to go 3:51 to catch Rupp and Ulery in the DMR, then go 4:05 in prelims, then go 3:54.7 in finals, then run 7:38 to win the 3k, how is this possible?
You don't know yet if they are all running DMR,3km and mile.
More than likely they will do just DMR and one other.
They should be plenty fit to handle that and if they are not then thats bad preeration on their behalf and the coaches.
there is NO chance that rupp runs on a DMR at nationals
If GF is running world XC at the end of March, why would he run a Mile at NCAA's? Either he wants to do well at Worlds - meaning up there trying to beat the Africans - or why bother going? If anything, running the 3000m or even 5000m would be better preparation at that point. If one assumes that a world championship trumps a NCAA championship, then XC prep should be his priority in March. I would like to think that his coach understands this, or why would he even let GF run the trials. Continuing to get international experience against the guys he may face down the road at Worlds/Olympics means more than trying to win the mile indoors as a freshman.
All i'm gonna say is shane knoll

That proves nothing. Both of those would be pretty much time trials, if he ran hard from the gun at NCAAs there would be 4 or 5 guys just licking their chops to kick him down. Getting through the prelims against the best the NCAA has to offer and then coming back the next day and laying it all on the line does not compare to the California state track meet.
Wheating if he runs it, though he may choose to do the 800 and I'm sure they'll use him on the DMR.
Wheating would win outdoors but as he is a tall guy does he run well indoors. Most tall people struggle indoors on 200m tracks.
I can totally agree with that statement...

...well at least the second part. I can't tell what you are trying to say in the first sentence.

If you think Bucknam is going to run Ulrey in the 3K, you're f***ing crazy.
Dorian will run the DMR and the Mile. He will win both.
GET READY FOR THE BOOM!
