Race starts at 2:30pm ET
5 guys under 4
Noll, from Mich St, 3:57.56
Tulsa guy 3:57.9x
Switzer 3:58.86 wow on that.
Boone? Ok. 3:59?
Hard to believe those times. According to MSU's website, Shane Knoll's PR is 4:01.55. Switzer under 3:59??
The race is up on flotrack.

Very nice.
Craig Miller still has not broken 4 minutes for the full Mile after having run 4:06 as a HS sophomore. He was right there with a lap to go. He is a Junior in college now.
From the UM website, Switzer's previous PR was 4:03.43. So he improved by 4.5 seconds!!

One week ago, 2 hours south of ND.
Not to be a hater or take anything away from the great performances. But, was it a mile race or 1600m?
Its a mile....only time you run a 1600 in college is during a relay.
I have deleted 5 different responses to your query and will go w/the straight-up response: it was a 5280' race they contested last weekend in Bloomington, IN.
MSU website sucks:

Jeez, Knoll smashes the school record and he gets a couple of sentences. They didn't even include any quotes. Sorry you're going to MSU brother, you deserve better than that.
apparently having a race with 5 guys sub 4 isn't good enough for a link on the front page of letsrun, either
comment withdrawn, it is on the front page now
It was Lee Emanuel in 2nd from New Mexico.
Coach Franklins 1st sub 4 min miler I think.
From watching flotrack it looks like he shouldve won.
what happened to the "pro" in the race from ireland?
