I wear orthodics in my trainers to keep my arch from collapsing. However, I have not used them in racing flats (adizero Pro's and LT's). I was curious, if for such events as the half marathon and up, where my foot strike is less on the ball of the foot and more in the midfoot, what the comparison would be to using or not using them. What I mean is, I'm wondering if the energy lost (decreasing forward motion, less efficient, slower time) to not using an orthodic in my racing flat is greater than the weight gain added by inserting one.
Has anyone played with this at all?
