I'm guessing it is those 4,5,6,7 guys from mediocre DI schools that are hating on DIII. They think they are hot shit because they run at DI nats, but they are slower than the good DIII runners.
well, the difference is those slower D1 runners don't get to run at nationals for the most part.
not sure why that isn't clear to all of you whiners.
I run in the NAIA and I aggree with this guy. Why are you saying the 'elite' DIII runners would be able to beat your average DI runners. Even if that is true - Don't say it!
There are some really shitty runners in all divisions. There are also really good runners in all divisions... and associations if you include NAIA too.
There are more - better - runners DI vs. DII/DIII/NAIA. It's totally reasonable for DI guys to hate on what is being talked about here, I'm sure it's frustrating when you look at other divisions results at nats, but if you're 'missing out' on nationals div one and it means that much... transfer.
If, to you, running is more than just something 'to do' for four years while you're at school don't you think you'd be getting more development racing nationals 2, 3, 4 years while you're at school vs. maybe not at all (depending on development and team strength). I find it absolutely stupid if someone argues 'they get better development running DI' if they don't race beyond conference races.
Truth: DI is the most competitive university running environment
Truth: only the top runners truly benefit from this competitive environment
Truth: the majority of DII/III/NAIA posters on this site have a huge inferiority complex (most of you (us...) are slower)
Truth: and equal number of exceedingly mediocre DI runners have an equally retarded superiority complex (trust me, you're not better than me... even if your 5k PB is 17.8 seconds faster than mine!)
Truth: All you rubberheads with said inferiority/superiority complexes are babies.. .WAA WAA WAAA... Grow up.
Truth: I'm enjoying this ridiculous big bro / little bro argument (after this has blown over we should get the best runners from each division together to see who can piss into the wind the farthest... it's bound to end up messy)
False: Running is the most important thing in life. (at least for 99.5% of us)
False: Being a runner on a top DI team helps you get laid
False: Being called a baby is a big deal
False: The world's best runners frequent LetsRun.com
