Anyone know how many men have ever gone under 13, and how many women have ever gone under 15 in the 5k? And each person counts only once (ex: Bekele has gone under 13 numerous times but only counts once). Thanks.

you'll have to do the math on your own but alltime-athletics.com has all time best lists for all track events. It apparently has "legal" and "non-legal" marks, whatever that means. 13min has been "legally" broken 215 times on the men's side, and 15min has been broken 569 times on the women's side. Without even taking out doubles I would say those are not equivalent standards.
So, taking out all the people who have done this more than once, are we looking in the ballpark of maybe 150 or so?
For women, I guess a more appropriate equivalent would be sub 14:45?

Only that many? I thought Flanagan ran 14:44.
Shouldn't there be more women... I was thinking closer to at least 50-100...

Those lists are completely up to date, they're usually updated within a day or two of new performances (often the same day). Either remember or bookmark that site so you can answer these kinds of questions for other people or yourself in the future.
Looks like the sub-15 for women is easier than sub-13 for men.
215 performances all-time sub-13. 569 performances all-time sub-15.
Then why aint Venuste Niyangabo on it
The lists aren't perfect, some names COULD be missing...
True. I ran a sub-13:00 during a triathlon 5k and I don't see my name up there. And that was after a 1/2 mile swim and a 10 mile bike. So you know I could have run even faster had the 5k been all by itself - maybe under 12:00.

Because he never broke 13:00 for the 5000.
I think your right, but he could have, so his name should be there
