it certainly is not going to be given to Adams. They are a damn good team this year, but ACU is also very good. They will not blow them away...it will be very close, actually. How close will the score between Mines and Western be this weekend?

about as close as ASC and ACU will be at nationals, 10 to 15 points, it will come down to the middle of the pack, man for man competition.
Looks like things might change this time round. All teams are looking solid, ACU,western state, Adams, Harding, chico, Alaska anchorage. Solid teams indeed, no one should predict the winner now, lets wait the gun and find out who are the champs!.Each team has almost top legitmate guys and for the top seven predicted teams have a shot on the tittle, some teams even might be a suprise to win the championship for the first time. Lets wait for the gun
I still maintain that there is only 3 teams that can win it. I say Adams, Abilene, and Harding are the only ones with enough front power to win. Really I think that it is between Adams and Abilene but Harding is starting to round into shape with a decent 5th man and they have the front power. From what I have seen in the past it will be closer than we see now. Generally Adams doesn't have their best race and the africans seem to know how to get it done on the big day normally. Only time will tell.
Harding scores 15!

The thing I find the most ridiculous about Harding is that they can't get an American to do anything better than an average high school level. Abilene and Alaska also like to go the foreign route, but they both have an American who is an All-American candidate. It seems they like to get the foreign superstars because they don't have any faith in trying to develop an American athlete.
From GLIAC
Grand Valley wins and runs well with a very young team. They will be back this year, but should be very strong for the next 3 or 4 years...

I would agree with the Harding and Abilene comment except for in the past they have had some pretty good americans run in the top 25 at nationals. Those schools are a little different because to be honest a lot of americans do not want to go do them because of the religious affiliations and some of the rules that they have. You have to do what you can with what you have and they both do well with what they have.

should bump Western up in the polls
Where are all the those Western hating trolls now?? Its funny that everyone including Mines bought into the hype of those whacked out polls...
P.S. Adams is real good this year. They should put 6 in the top 20.
Why didn't Queens run their conference meet today?

The course that they would of had to run on was an injury waiting to happen. It didnt meet any of the NCAA regulations. That is why they didn't run. They are running regionals.
I quess Queens is now taking the Rupp view of racing. Be pansies if it is a real xc course. I think I saw a couple of holes in the course in slippery rock they had better watch out. Might just want to sit that one out.

Ha maybe they will
so who is going in the North Central?
Adams
Western
Mankato
Mines
Augastana
Who is the sixth going to be?
Metro/St. Cloud/ Wayne?
western ran much better than expected, props, mines always seems to suck at conference, or are they really that bad?
This race was run at over 4500 ft in a wide open desert with not a single tree. Basically dunes with a steep hill at 2 1/2 miles. Very bumpy footing the entire way, all dirt. No way to compare to sea-level parks and golf courses.
