hey, you're times are great and I'm sure you can improve upon those further with a good coach and 4 years for you. The only problem would be to find a school that interested you geographically, academically and athletically. Also you would need to find a school that has enough money to fork over for a foreigner. The west coast is probably going to be your best choice for location since none of the good schools are that far from the ocean. The bigger names would be Oregon and Washington (if you can put up with rain 80% of the year) for up north. The California schools worth looking at would be Stanford, UC Berkeley (also known as Cal), UCLA, UCSB and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
The last two schools are going to be a little more difficult to deal with since neither has that much money in their track and field department. Also, all of the California schools are ranked highly academically in the world so you can't miss with any.
If you did want to see "real" America and move to the midwest and not worry too much about education just look at the NCAA Championship results from last year and that will help you out. Colorado, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin are all good choices for running. Though academically you can also look to Notre Dame.
Just wanted to throw out some options for ya!
Good luck, and hope to see a kiwi running fast for the west coast possibly!
