Thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Virtually every drug that is now illegal was legal at some point and guess what it still worked then. Also, how do you know the efficacy of drugs/supplements that you are claiming don't exist. This is like saying I know there are no 7ft tall people because I have never seen one in perosn. Think before you speak.

Is it common to take an Amino Acid supplement after workout? Seems like a good idea after a quick research. Does any amino acid supplement work or is this MD+ stuff any better for an athlete?

Yes that's a great idea. My mom is a nutritionist and was telling me that L-Glutamine, the most abundant amino acid in the body, is used for muscle regeneration and your immune system. Glutamine is found in fish, chicken and plenty of foods but the theory is that it isn't restored efficiently because athletes don't put it back into their system soon enough after exercise. The theory is that after strenuous exercise your glutamine stores are spread too thin and something has to give, explaining why many endurance athletes are prone to sickness or why you may feel weak during periods of high intensity training. After illness ruined two of my three racing seasons this year and hearing this from my mom I started taking a glutamine supplement after runs. I'm running the highest mileage of my life right now and feeling great.

If the answers are no and yes respectively then the answer you should really ask is why the f#ck wouldn't they be taking it?

And they only reason I would say they shouldn't is because they might not know the long term side affects which could be dangerous. Just like too much soy, milk, OJ or anything. I tend to be very skeptical of anything put together in labs or factories simply because I know that the producers of all those products are only concerned with $$$ and not my health. But that is just me, and that doesn't mean that the runners taking these supplements are doing is unethical AT ALL.

In fact, one could argue that doing the research on the physiology and biology of how the body works and responds to stress, hard work and the role of nutrients and recovery is just plain smart. Not doing it and not understanding it is ignorant. Understanding it, and choosing not to take advantage of it (if it IS legal) is a personal choice and many would see that as foolish.

Again I would lean to the side of getting it naturally and not from pills or powder that can contain other crap that is bad for you either in the short or long term. But I'd still try to get it in.

Most of that crap doesn't work take it from me. One problem that will occur is if you know the human body, taking horomone boosters of any kind will cause the body to stop releasing these hormones naturally. In the long run causes all sorts of healthy problems. You can best believe just as Salazar has health problems like crazy, Dobson and everyone using MD+ will also have health issues.

Most men who physically train seriously have low testosterone levels. It doesn't matter if you are a marathoner or a powerlifter, if you train seriously, your testosterone level will drop. Men, if you ever find your eyes getting watery when you're watching a romantic scene during a chick flick with your woman, you probably have low testosterone levels or you're most likely gay.

Testosterone supplements are legal. Of course, if he gets drug tested and they find that he has 3,000 times the normal level of testosterone, then he will have a problem.

As a side note, testosterone levels in men in the U.S. have dropped a lot since 1980. I believe the number is about 30% in the last 30 years, but I'm not sure and I don't have time to find a study at the moment. I don't think anyone has confirmed why there's been such a drastic drop, but there are theories ranging from higher levels of stress today to low level radiation caused by many people constantly wearing a cell phone and sitting in front of a computer for several hours a day. Perhaps Runningart can elaborate or correct me if I'm wrong since he tends to keep up with stuff like this?
