I was just interested in starting talk about thoughts on the NAIA cross country season. How does everyone think nationals is going to shape up, how about the polls for the next few weeks? I run for a nationally ranked NAIA school and am interested starting some talk about the scene. Also if anyone has any type of results from the last week that might be pertinant to the next ranking let me know.

E- did u see results from Willamette??? That is going to shake up 5-10 pretty good and maybe another switch up at the top...

Yeah I did, however that was a course rated 2.0. I don't think that it will hold that much clout when compared to guys who are running slightly slower on 3s and 3.5s. My money for individual champ is Boit from CMC. Amazing talent (13:17 5000 at 19yrs old) just out of shape right now. But also don't count out some unknown running the race of his life too. It is fair game this year individual wise, but Boit has the advantage as of now. As far as teams go I see 5 or 6 teams with the ability to take the team title, Eastern Oregon is looking really tough now though but I guess we will see. Count on the rankings to change dramatically this Friday.

Dave Gramlich will be nowhere near that high. If he is then that is not saying much for the depth of NAIA.
Tighe will win individual and minot state is by far the front runner.

i guess you never though about boit focusing on getting an education, not training 3 times a day that got him to 13.17. Boit will win the naia, with coaching that allows him to work 30 hours a week and attend classes. Dont be so sure he is going d1 for indoor.
do you think e. oregon will be able to maintain their fitness this year? they were tooling teams in their region all year last year and then come NAIA's, they fell apart. how about that guy from warner pacific who won willamette last week, he ran 2417, he could be in the hunt for individual honors.

Who is going to win it all... I have seen some fast times but are they real! because i have beat some of the guys that are running under 25 min's but I haven't ran that time yet. I think some of the course are jokes!!!
Just remember the national course is the equalizer!
Eastern's three redshirt guys ran the Open race at Willamette this past weekend. They ran 24:32, 24:42, and 25:00. But I'm sure "WOW" is right and they're just overrated. They got second to a Div. II top ten team(ninth?). Just because they went in ranked 3rd last year and had a bad race at Nationals, some of you Toolsheds think they're a bunch of chokers. Last year was the first year since 1992 they didn't have an All-American.

if the college results from the OSU Cowyboy Jamboree would be posted (maybe they are now) people would see that central methodist beat southwestern by something like 30 points. The top 7 or 8 teams are all tough teams, however i agree fast times on fast courses dont matter. The only time that matters is the one at parkside on the 16th of november
Sooo your from eastern O. So that means the 3 red shirts from EOU would have ran about 26 mins on a real course right. But they are red shirts right... MMMM that means they are not racing this year, right. So how is that going to make EOU better right now. Sure I were give them respect of a 26 man but thats it. Well see what they run at Nationals... If they don't choke like you were saying. Train naaaa, thats to much work I will just see everyone at nationals.... Go look at more results zippo!!!

I would have to agree that cumberland is very strong. I think that southwestern is not #3 material ,cumberland will kill them at nationals. MidAmerican will be up there too if they don't lock their spikes and numbers in the team van like they did at OSU. hahaha kenyans
