Wow. I disappointed to read this. I am actually a huge Fam fan, and this took me by surprise. I think if Fam spent a few months with Kemboi, Kipruto, Koech or Maatelong he might change his tune.

Wow. I disappointed to read this. I am actually a huge Fam fan, and this took me by surprise. I think if Fam spent a few months with Kemboi, Kipruto, Koech or Maatelong he might change his tune.

I'm quite indifferent to Fam, so I can see this from an objectiv point of view.

- He thinks lactate treshold training is bullshit (way to try your best to be the best, by laughing of methods used by some of the best runners, better than yourself)

- He needs to PR with 10 seconds to get a medal (or beat people with 10second better shape, which is unlikely, even in a championship.

- He thinks its unlikely to get top 2 because of doping, but a third is possible. Ehh what, only the two-three best steeplers dope? If they do, its highly unlikely the rest of the top 10 doesn't aswell, at least hes chances to a medal would be minimal.

- He clearly has a great passion for running, but isn't the brights guy out there.

Probably needs to be more worried about getting the A first...making the team 2nd.

Why hasn't the culture of elite running just gone the way of cycling and accepted that you have to dope to get to the top? Or maybe they already have and I'm just naive.
