Rematch next week should be great. Another chance to really go fast. Finnerty could run sub 8:50 in the 2 mile.
Minnesota distance runners are starting to show. Too bad the university of Minnesota couldn't land either one.

Awesome blogspot site! Thanks for the info. I can hardly wait to watch the rematch at state when the Irondale kid (Richardson) who always goes out "too fast" is in the mix. Let's hope for decent weather.
I didn't even know that MSHSL doesn't even recognize GB's record for the 1600. The MSHSL can be kinda dumb and I believe doesn't recognize records not run at state meets or converted times. Pretty much everyone in MN just goes off raceberryjam though b/c they have the "real" records (ie, inlcuding records from national meets or meets other than the state meet and converted times.) I've never even heard of that site where you got the records from.
The list of the top times in state history were put together by the great Miles brothers. Tim coach of Saint John's University and Bill coach of Wayzata high school. DTBS is basically the greatest site to come to MN running run by former SJU great and Carleton assistant Charlie Mahler.
