Well, my top returning guy is going to be a beach patrol guard this summer.
What can he / we do to supplement hill training?? The course we will see in post season this year will have a couple of monster hills..

Um, that is the alternative, use it.
A beach patrol guard doesn't work a "normal" 1st or 2nd shift like the rest of us? Why can't he run after/before work like everyone else?

He has no problem with mileage. He's a pretty good tri-athlete as well.
Just looking for new ideas; he wants to do well.
Get in lots of miles and a steady state every week, and then take care of the hill reps once the season starts?
