Here is the story, I quit a white collar job in the insurance field in January, I hated the manager. So I worked for a friend in a blue collar job to pay the bills for the last few months. I put out my resume and I am to interview for a great job on Monday. The problem is when I put the resume out I left the insurance job on the resume as the last job. I am worried I will get the job and they will contact the insurance job and see I wasn't there for the last few months. I also do not want to put down I was spraying pesticides for a family friend because that doesn't look good on a application to be a account executive for a Fortune 100 company.
Should I just leave the insurance job as the job on the application to match the resume ?
I did a little bit of consulting for a guy trying to convert a P/C insurance shop to a life shop, like two days, do I put that down as my last job ?
Any advice from HR folks would be appreciated.
