Lance Armstrong braking the Champions Tape was done to help the BAA promote its next Big thing!

Starting in 2009, The BAA will be selling a new package to all runners.

For an additional $100 fee, you too can run through the finish line tape too and have your photo taken winning the Boston Marathon.

The BAA is going to have several dozen (look alike) officials on hand at the finish line and when the runners wearing the special (Winner) bibs approach the finish line, they will be directed through one of the tapes.

But wait there's more...

For just $50 more, you will also be presented with a genuine Laural Wreath!

That's the stoopidest idea I've ever heard. Why not just have separate maras for steroid users. They can certainly afford the higher entry fees.

wow, dumb idea...

so now the gallo-jogger that runs over 4 hours can go brag to his/her office buddies at the water cooler about how they won boston!!! most non-runners would not know the difference... they see a picture of their co-worker braking the tape, so they will probably believe it!!!

that's just retarded... so some 25 mile a week yuppie, country club, office executive, suit wearing gallo-jogger who has the extra cash can BUY A WIN at boston... what, so they can be the talk of the day when out for a round of 18 holes with the office buddies...

marathons for the weekend warriors and gallo-people are getting out of hand with all these stupid extra benefits!!!
