Probably because men who participate in individual sports are selfish.

you guys read into women too much...you can get laid like a f***in rock star if you work it properly and lead an alpha lifestyle, and portray yourself as the tribal leader...plain and simple

I do agree that women like self confidence and people always give the advice to be confident all the time. The thing is, confidence without competence will just make you look like a complete idiot. For a guy who is unskilled, self confidence is pointless and recipe to f*** something up that might hurt other people.

That's why runners NEVER have girlfriends and never get married. Women marry who they love (or at leat who they think they love) whether it's a runner, baseball player or fantasy league all-star.

A lot of women want a man who can take control, but at the same time they want a man who they can control. They want a man who will take control on their behalf, not a man who will take control of his own volition. For example, if such a woman wants to sit at a table by the window at a popular restaurant and she and her husband are seated somewhere else, she wants to be able to whisper to her husband that she wants to move and she expects him to take control and do whatever it takes to get that table by the window whether or not the guy cares about sitting at said window table.

Not all women are like this, but the trait is annoyingly common.
