I need to convert a one page PDF file to Microsoft Word for an urgent grad school assignment. Unfortunately I only have Adobe Reader and understand that Adobe Acrobat is needed to make this conversion. If you have Adobe Acrobat could you help a fellow runner and convert my PDF file to word? Cut and paste into a word doc or just retype the text. It\'ll be quicker than waiting around for someone to do your job for you.
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. There is an image embedded into the PDF. Cut and paste only transfers the written text.
Unfortunately, I don't have my copy of Acrobat Professional readily available. In your particular situation, there might be a relatively simple workaround.
If you just need the image from the PDF file, open up the document in Acrobat Reader. Adjust the zoom percentage to your preferred level, and then hold down Ctrl and hit Print Screen. Once that is done, paste the screen shot image into any photo editing application, or even the default Microsoft Paint. Crop out the unnecessary information outside of the image itself, and you should be in business!

The pixel quality sucks on a screen shot. I really don't want to pay to download a converter. It's only a one page pdf.

Instead, you've spent 3 hours moping around letsrun instead of sucking it up and getting it done somehow. Can't you print it out and scan it at a higher res or something?
