Who are you?

that's a bold statement friend. those predictions are a little optimistic in my humble opinion. edinboro is gonna win conference again. millerville started strong, but their 1-5 split is pretty big. the same is the case with ship. not good in a national championship race. thanks.

I believe that Edinboro and the ville have a great chance at the top ten in the nation. It will be interesting to see how ship. finishes out the season with Erin Rich. I know that the ville is training hard and the depth of our team is unmatched. It's very apparent that the boro has Rowe in top form, and wibberly is always tough. The end of the season will definately be very interesting.

I was poking around to see if what you say is true my friend and I think that there is at least one conference better than yours, the Gliac. They have four teams that could be top 10 to 15 in the country, Wayne State, Grand Valley, Ashland and Hillsdale, I believe that 3 of the four teams are ranked with the exception of Ashland who has not run there 2,5 and 7 runners yet but will next weekend. The PSAC is very good but is in no comparision this year to the GLIAC.

i predicted earlier that ship and boro would be top ten at ncaa's before i knew stallings was running for ville. that obviously makes them a much better team. there was an early rumor of him redshirting. obviously boro is still the team to beat. ville is running very well, but as a biased ship alum, i think spence will have his guys ready in november. demerice in the top 5 at nationals? or in the psac? maybe in the psac... no studs at ship, just a bunch of solid guys running as a team. boro may have 3-4 all-american candidates, ville has stallings, lock haven has cowan. the psac may be the 4th or 5th best conference in the nation. solid, but not great. as for the national rankings, they are hilarious.

As a runner in the PSAC I'll agree it's very competitive. However, once you go to the national level, the PSAC or the East conference is not as strong as those in the Mid-West and West. I mean come on, we had this talk last year on some other forum about how the course at Slippery Rock was gonna beat other teams up. Teams like Western, Chico, and Abeline Christian are in a different category than PSAC teams. Individually there are a few exceptional runners in the PSAC such as Stallings, Rowe, Cowan, and even Demerice (although as a Ville runner I can't give him too much credit ;) ) We'll see how nationals plays out I'm just hoping the East on a whole has a great showing against some great teams from other regions.

as a psac member I think you must be out of your mind with those predictions. Edinboro, Millersville, and Ship are very good and the conference is deep, but our conference is not as good as the RMAC, MIAA or the NC. The PSAC is a good as the GLIAC and probably better than any calif. conference, but no team in the PSAC is a top 5 team nationally and the teams you mention about coing on in Slippery Rock, Lock Haven, and Kutztown are far from National caliber. Other than Cowan those three teams have nobody who could finish in the top 50% of a national meet indivdually. Shippensburg has solid guys but you can only go so far without a national level # 1runner and with all their talent they are not developing any super national level All Americans. Individually Rowe and stallings can be top 10 but Demerice 5th is way off. A top 50 palce would be a great run for him. Rolden from Kutztown will not be in the 100s because he won't be at the national meet from Kuztown. Bottom line is the PSAC is a good conferecne but lets keep the reality of the situation in check.

GLIAC could have 4 in front of your 3rd team and I think the jury is still out on Edinboro and Millersville, The GLIAC might have 4 better than your second.

i'd say the jury is still out on everyone. there's lots of coulds and mights. let's compare after nationals.

Look, I am a fan of the PSAC but lets get real hear fella's, I have been fighting to get back on the National scene heve for 2 years since my fall into oblivion. Let me just say that Nationals is a whole different world. Demerice is a good runner but I am sure he would laugh at you for predicting 5th!!!

Yes, I too think you dreaming. I remember a t-shirt sold one year (1986?) at the PSAC meet, touting the PSAC as a "national power." There was a time in the 1980s and very early 1990s when the PSAC really WAS the powerhouse conference in Division II, with Edinboro perennially finishing in the top 2 or 3 at nationals, and usually 3 or 4 other PSAC teams finishing top 20. That was before Adams and Western State came into Div II from the NAIA. I would love to your predictions come true, but I think Edinboro, Millersville, and Shippensburg will all be doing well to match last year's placings.

The Rock and Boro have always had very good Div 2 (east coast). I think some Colorado div 2 teams (Western State + Adams State) are as good or better than 90% div 1 teams.

The PSAC Conference is by far the toughest conference in Div II XC and it's time that we get the credit due to us

Not even close. I would maybe rate them about 5th behind

RMAC-Western, Adams, UCCS, Fort Hays

NCC-USD, SDSU, NDSU, UNO, Augustana

MIAA-Central MO, Pittsburg

GLIAC-Hillsdale, Ashland, Wayne St.

As far as regions go, the North Central is just ill with the NCC and the RMAC in one region.

But, that's just my opinion
