where are some good places to seriously train around purdue or west lafyette, in? obviously you can do some good grass running on the purdue xc course, but are there any good places around town?

Prophetstown ( sp ? ) State Park over on the river. I've never run there but it looks nice.
I grew up in W. Lafayette, though I wasn't a runner at the time. I've found some pretty good road routes when home to visit family.
I really like running many of the country roads on the West side of town, though there aren't good shoulders and traffic comes fast, so I'd only do them in the early hours of the day.
Loops like these:

The Greenway Trail is pretty nice - not much traffic:

I have done some others, but they aren't coming to me at present. You can loop north out by Cumberland and do some nice country road running that way, too.
Runners in WL are good about posting routes to USATF, so I'd definitely check some of those out.
